ARTHUR STINCHCOMBE'S COMPARISON OF BUREAUCRATIC & CRAFT ADMINISTRATION IN RELATION TO WEBER'S CONCEPT OF RATIONAL ADMINISTRATION

Stinchcombe argues that bureaucratic and craft administration are two forms of rational administration, as understood by Weber.  Craft administration shares only some of the characteristics of Weber's classical model of bureaucratic administration.
